Golf Tournament to be held on September 7th, 2003, at the Delray Beach Golf Club.
Saba Saba
A Children and Families/Sister Cities celebration event is in the planning stages which is to be called “Saba Saba” which is a joint-affair between Africa and Japan. The seventh day and the seventh month is called the “Star Festival.” The “Saba Saba” will conclude with a ngoma (dance, drumming, singing, and storytelling event) to be planned in the year 2004. It will focus on three different cultures: African, American, and Japanese. We will try to get the local area schools involved in participation of the event.
Delray Sister Cities Board Discusses Budget for Tanzanian Student Exchange Program
The Delray Sister Cities Board unanimously passed a motion on September 9th, 2003, to accept the budget for the Tanzanian Student Exchange program.
