The Tanzanian Committee met at the Delray Beach City Library on October 6th, 2003 at 5:30 PM. In attendance were: Chairman Ngozi Mensah, n'Detenga n'Gurumo, Charlotte Durante

Committee Reports

• Secretary (Ngozi Mensah) Previous minutes from last meeting were read and approved.

Old Business:

• Mayor's Cup Golf Tournament was on September 21st, 2003.
• Baobab Books to Moshi
• Saba Saba
• Photo Contest - Delray Beach Photo Club will assist
• Art Contest - Same format as last year, coordinated by Nancy King

New Business:

• Membership Drive
  • Moshi and Miyazu, not Moshi vs Miyazu
  • Strengthen group dedicated to Tanzanian Sister City
    • Ngoma with the Spady Museum - drumming, singing, and dancing
    • Saba Saba committee
  • Do we need a treasurer who reports to/like Larry Rosensweig?
  • Creating a Kilimanjaro Student Exchange Program
  • Miyazu has beer; what will Moshi have?
    • Coffee and/or Chai Tea
    • Are we willing to man a booth at “Thursday Night on the Avenue” and other venues?
• Bylaws of the Delray Beach Sister Cities
  • Being modified by main organization
