October 1, 2010: Florida Monthly Magazine readers voted Delray Beach's Atlantic Avenue as "Best Main Street in Florida." The September issue of the magazine highlights the winners of the 15th Annual Best of Florida Awards, from best day trip to best museum.
According to Marlem Woodcock, from Florida Media, Inc., "The award winners are selected by the readers as well as online votes. A variety of main streets were voted on and Delray Beach took the number one spot!"

About the Downtown Development Authority:
The Delray Beach DDA was created by Resolution 9-71, which became law on March 22, 1971, as a dependent district of the City of Delray Beach.
